About
Christine Pereira-Adams’ practice and use of materials explores the dialogue between the personal and global in the context of contemporary technological environments.
Observations of the natural world, historical narratives and scientific theory are informed by her experience as a textile designer and as a parent. Working primarily with the textural mediums of book arts and textiles, research and process are integral to each piece.
After studying textile print design at Chelsea School of Art she worked as a designer in the fashion industry for a number of years. Returning to study in 2008 she completed a Graduate Certificate in Book Arts and Crafts at London College of Communication and an MA in visual arts at Camberwell College of Art, UAL.
