Epiblema (landscape)

Christine Pereira-Adams’ practice and use of materials explore the dialogue between the personal and global in the context of contemporary technological environments.

Working primarily in the mediums of textiles and book arts, research is the starting point of each piece.

The natural world, historical narratives and scientific theory are studied and informed by her experience as a designer in the textile industry and as a mother.

After studying textile print design at Chelsea School of Art she worked as a designer in the fashion industry for a number of years. Returning to study in 2007 she completed a Graduate Certificate in Book Arts and Crafts at London College of Communication and an MA in visual arts at Camberwell College of Art, UAL.
